Supper Clubs

Find Wisconsin supper clubs. Vote on the relish tray. Track where you've been.

What It Is

Supper Clubs is a community-powered directory for discovering Wisconsin-style supper clubs. Browse on a map, search by name, vote on whether a club still brings out the relish tray (and whether they serve ice cream drinks), mark the ones you've visited, and submit clubs we're missing.

It's built for the people who grew up going to these places — and for the ones still discovering them.

Features

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a supper club?

A supper club is a Midwest dining tradition — especially strong in Wisconsin. Think Old Fashioneds at the bar while you wait, a relish tray before your meal, prime rib or Friday fish fry, and an ice cream drink for dessert. They're community gathering spots that have been around for generations.

How do I find supper clubs near me?

Open the Map tab and grant location permission when prompted. The map will center on your area and show nearby clubs as pins. You can also use the List tab to search by name or filter by state.

What do the pin colors mean?

Mint pins are clubs you've marked as visited. Coral pins are clubs you haven't visited yet. Tap any pin to see a preview with the club name, address, and relish tray status.

How do I vote on a club's relish tray?

Open a club's Detail screen and tap "It has one!" or "No relish tray here" under the relish tray section. You need to be signed in with Google to vote. You can only vote once per club, but you can change your vote.

What are ice cream drinks?

A Wisconsin supper club tradition — blended cocktails made with ice cream. The classics are the Grasshopper (crème de menthe), Pink Squirrel (crème de noyaux), and Brandy Alexander. The app lets you vote on whether a club serves them.

Do I need to sign in?

You can browse the map and list without signing in. Signing in with Google is only required for voting, submitting new clubs, and marking clubs as visited — so the app can track your activity and prevent duplicate votes.

How do I mark a club as visited?

Open the club's Detail screen and tap the "Mark visited" chip. The pin will turn mint on the map, and the club will show up in your Profile under the Visited tab.

How do I submit a supper club?

Tap the + button on the Map or List screen. Start typing the club's name and pick it from the Google Places autocomplete results. Fill in any additional details and submit. If the club might be a duplicate, you'll see a warning. Submitted clubs appear after review.

Does the app work offline?

Yes. The app stores club data locally on your phone and syncs from the cloud in the background. You can browse the map and list without an internet connection. Votes and submissions will sync when connectivity returns.

Is this just for Wisconsin?

The app launches focused on Wisconsin, where the supper club tradition runs deepest. But the architecture supports clubs in any state — use the "All States" filter to see everything. As the community grows and submits clubs from other states, the directory will expand naturally.

Does the app track my location?

Only if you grant permission, and only while the app is open. Location is used to center the map on your area and show nearby clubs. We never track your location in the background, and we never sell location data.
